Town travelled to Doncaster this afternoon for their final game of the season without former skipper Grant Leadbitter, who has decided not to remain at Portman Road after his contract is up at the end of the season. The Blues were already short of midfielders for their lunchtime clash with relegated Rovers (KO 12.30pm) with Luke Hyam injured, Lee Bowyer released and Lee Martin and Ryan Stevenson both having missed training due to injuries this week. Youngsters Byron Lawrence and Joe Whight have both made the trip. |

Skipper Carlos Edwards was named the Town Player’s Player of the Year at this evening’s End of Season Dinner at Milsoms in Kesgrave. The 33-year-old finished second behind Aaron Cresswell in the Supporters Club award which was announced at the weekend. |

Two goals from Andy Keogh and one from former Blue Liam Trotter saw Millwall to a comfortable 3-0 victory over Town in Portman Road’s final game of the season. Keogh put the Lions ahead after three minutes, old boy Trotter added the second just after the hour mark, then, after Grant Leadbitter had had a penalty saved, Keogh netted the third late on. |

Better news for Blues boss Paul Jewell, who is considering including 16-year-old Byron Lawrence as a sub, is that Richard Wright doesn’t require an operation on his knee problem, while Jimmy Bullard was back in training this morning. |

David Nugent scored his usual goal at Portman Road as Leicester came from a goal behind to beat the Blues 2-1 and inflict their first home defeat since January 2nd. Jason Scotland put the Blues deservedly in front in the 43rd minute but soon after Ben Marshall’s freekick went through both wall and Arran Lee-Barrett with Nugent heading in the winner in a second half dominated by the visitors. |
